I am Mary Durosko, owner of Lionheart Pet Care Services. I am an avid animal lover who has taken the initiative to provide my professional services to pet owners with beloved animals. I know from experience, the worries of leaving pets in the care of others - hoping and wondering that they are fine and being cared for as you requested. Too often, ther person providing the "service", feels that your requests are "frivolous" or "not necessary". In such cases, it is not uncommon for the hired person, to use their own judgment as to what they feel your animals really need, despite personal direction.

I have been caring for others' pets for over 35 years with quality, reliable, personalized care. I have eight years of experience as a barn manager with both my own barn and boarding facilities. I am a Reiki Master with a passion for the well-being of all animals. As a loving owner of dogs, cats, horses, mules and mustangs, I understand the important decision of entrusting animals to the right care provider. I know each animal has its own needs, likes, dislikes and personality. I work with each owner to ensure your pets are cared for as if you were doing it yourself.

My own dogs and cats have been saved from shelters or have been strays. My Thoroughbred horse was adopted from the New York Chapter of ReRun - of which I was a volunteer. I currently have a senior horse, who is 27 years young and have recently purchased two wild mustangs foals from the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in South Dakota - which are a pure joy! Added to my herd are two molly mules which are a pleasure to work with and learn from. Additional animals I have had the fortune to work with include, but are not limited to: mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, birds, ducks, cats, dogs, pot belly pigs, horses and mules. I am always open to working with new animals! I specialize in animals requiring special care - special needs, elderly, those requiring medications or those who just need a little special attention.
